Sculptra® Aesthetic
Sculptra® Aesthetic is made from poly-L-lactic acid, which is a natural compound that is biodegradable. Poly-L-lactic acid has been used in medical products for decades now, and has a great safety record.
Sculptra® Aesthetic is used for deeper lines and hollows in the face and hands. It stimulates your body to create new collagen, so it lasts longer than most other fillers-longer than 2 years in many cases.
You will begin the consultation process by meeting with our Physician Assistants or Dr. Kavali. She will help to establish your goals for your procedures and take your before photos to accurately track your transformation.
The consultation time is meant to be comfortable and educational. We want you to feel completely informed, so you can make your own personal best decision.

How does Sculptra® Aesthetic work?
How does Sculptra® Aesthetic work?
It may look like we just get wrinkles as we age, but the aging process is much more complex than just some skin sagging. We lose VOLUME as we age, which means overall facial hollowing, which means less support for our skin, which leads to skin sagging, facial lines and wrinkles, and a sad or tired appearance. Sculptra Aesthetic® stimulates your body to produce more collagen, which fills those facial hollows and turns back the clock–it works gradually and subtly. Over time, the results can be dramatic. -
What makes Sculptra® Aesthetic different from other fillers?
What makes Sculptra® Aesthetic different from other fillers?
There, are quite a few fillers available today, which makes choosing the right filler sometimes seem confusing. Dr. Kavali offers several different fillers, because no one filler is perfect for every thing or everyone. Sculptra® Aeshetic is different from other fillers: -It works gradually, not instantly, making the results subtle over time, but dramatic in the end -It stimulates your body to make its own, natural collagen -It lasts more than 2 years -

What is the procedure like? Does it hurt to have Sculptra® Aesthetic treatments?
What is the procedure like? Does it hurt to have Sculptra® Aesthetic treatments?
When you come for your consultation, you’ll meet with Dr. Kavali or one of her Physician Assistants. Once you and they have decided that Sculptra® Aesthetic is the best way to meet your goals, you will be given some ice to numb the treatment areas. We add lidocaine (a numbing medicine) to our Sculptra® Aesthetic, so the procedure is as comfortable as possible. The product is injected with a tiny needle, so the process is very tolerable. The procedure takes about 20-30 minutes in the office. You will need to massage the treatment areas about 5 times per day over the next 5 days. This is to help make sure the product is evenly spread. Because Sculptra® Aesthetic works gradually, we do the procedure in stages, with treatments spaced about 6 weeks apart. So we’ll see you roughly every 6 weeks for another treatment until we have reached our goal. Also, because Sculptra® Aesthetic works gradually, you aren’t likely to have anyone instantly notice that you’ve had anything done. Instead, it’s much more likely that someone you haven’t seen in awhile would think you look more rested and youthful, but can’t quite figure out why. -
